FRP Grating That Outlasts Steel
in Corrosive Environments

JINGLUE pultrudes and molds fiberglass reinforced plastic grating, stair treads, handrails and cage ladders for chemical plants, wastewater treatment works, offshore platforms and mines — where galvanized steel fails in 3–5 years.

Why FRP

The Numbers Behind the Material Switch

Structural buyers do not switch from steel on feel. They switch when the lifecycle arithmetic is undeniable — so here it is.

0 rust

No electrochemical corrosion. Standard polyester resin is unaffected by continuous splash-zone exposure to dilute acids, alkalis and salts that destroy hot-dip galvanized steel in 3–5 years.

1/4

Weight of steel grating at comparable load capacity. Two workers carry a 3.66 m panel; no crane, no lifting plan, faster install.

0 repaint

Pigment is throughout the panel, not a coating. No repainting cycles, no blast-and-coat shutdowns for the life of the walkway.

non-cond.

Electrically non-conductive and non-magnetic. Safe over cable trenches, near switchgear, and around MRI and precision-instrument areas.

What Ships, Photographed

No renders, no stock imagery. Every panel below came off our own molding and pultrusion lines — standard stock colors, standard mesh, standard hardware.

Completed FRP grating platform with handrail and stair access inside a plant
A finished access package: grating deck, handrail, kick plate and stair treads, all from one production batch.
Macro detail of FRP grating showing resin-rich bearing bars and cross rods
Resin-rich bar surfaces and fully wetted cross rods — the detail that decides service life in chemical splash zones.
Stacked molded FRP grating panels in yellow, green and blue
Standard stock colors: yellow, green, blue — pigment through the full section.
Molded FRP grating panels in stock colors, angle view showing mesh and bearing bars
38 × 38 mm mesh in every stock color — same load table, same hardware.
Close view of molded FRP grating panel edges showing meniscus surface
Meniscus (concave) surface finish on molded panels — integral anti-slip, no added grit layer.

Custom RAL colors available on volume orders; pigment runs through the full section, so cut edges match the face.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between molded and pultruded FRP grating?
Molded grating is cast in one piece with interwoven strands, giving equal strength in both directions and easy cutting without edge loss — best for general walkways. Pultruded grating uses parallel I-bars with continuous glass rovings, giving roughly 30% greater stiffness at the same depth, tighter load consistency and longer unsupported spans — best for heavy-traffic platforms and long spans.
How long does FRP grating last compared with galvanized steel?
In corrosive service (chemical plants, wastewater, marine splash zones), hot-dip galvanized steel typically needs recoating or replacement within 3–5 years. FRP grating in the correctly selected resin system is specified for 20+ year service with no recoating, because the corrosion barrier is the full panel thickness, not a surface layer.
Which resin should I choose: polyester, vinyl ester or phenolic?
Isophthalic polyester suits most wastewater and general chemical exposure. Vinyl ester is the choice for strong acid, solvent and high-temperature service. Phenolic is specified where low smoke and flame spread are mandatory, such as offshore accommodation areas and tunnels. Our chemical resistance chart lists retention values by chemical class. Can you cut FRP grating to size and pre-drill it?
Yes. We cut, notch, drill and bevel panels to your layout drawings and can pre-fit clip hardware, so panels arrive ready to lay. Cut edges of molded grating need no sealing; we recommend resin sealing of cut pultruded bearing bars for maximum life.
What are your panel sizes, minimum order and lead time?
Standard molded panels are 1220 × 3660 mm and 1000 × 4000 mm; pultruded grating is supplied in 1000/1220 mm widths by any length to 6 m. MOQ is flexible for trial orders — typically one pallet. Standard lead time is 2–3 weeks for stock depths, plus sea freight. Send us your panel schedule →
